Dennis Armstrong - Director
Dennis has over 30 years experience starting as an apprentice scale mechanic with Avery Scales, and did a three year term as Service Manager for the Pacific Islands based in Fiji.
After more than a decade in the service sector Dennis joined Philips Industrial Weighing, handling sales for New Zealand before moving to Australia where he became Product Manager for the Australia/New Zealand region. During this time he gained valuable experience in industrial weighing and complex batching systems.
In 1991 Dennis returned home and established the New Zealand office (Rite-Weigh NZ Ltd) for Australian based Rite-Weigh Scales Pty Ltd. This company was purchased by Weightec in 2002 and now represents the Sartorius Group which includes Sartorius Hamburg, previously known as Philips Industrial Weighing.
Dennis uses his extensive experience to run the sales side of the business, especially with Con-E-Co concrete industry equipment.
Hugo Hess - Director
Hugo has been involved in the weighing industry for over 25 years. Starting out as a toolmaker in Switzerland, Hugo has a solid engineering background, which comes in handy when working with weighing and control systems.
In the early 1990's Hugo moved to New Zealand and joined Rite-Weigh, rapidly taking over as Service Manager.
Hugo is responsible for the technical side of the business and is experienced at problem solving, no matter what the brand of equipment.
In addition to this he is one of the few people in Australasia factory-trained and certified to service and repair Sartorius (formerly known as Boekels) high speed check weighing and metal detection equipment as well as intrinsically safe Sartorius systems in potentially explosive areas. Because of his unique skills, Hugo is commonly called on for technical issues across Australasia.
Chris Olsson - Service Manager
As Weightec's Service Manager, Chris builds and maintains relationships with Weightec's clients, and manages the service side of the business. With years of experience in the industry, Chris is well used to expecting the unexpected, and is able to offer advice on any problem, no matter how big or small.
Chris is a factory-certified Sartorius technician, including explosion-proof systems and is experienced on servicing all brands of equipment.
Stuart Mullin - Technical Sales Support
Armed with an Honours Degree in Political Science, we're not quite sure what exactly he is doing here. However, Stu is well-versed in tackling the issues faced by our clients and already has a track record of developing solutions to suit our clients' needs.
