Dennis Armstrong  -  Director

Dennis has over 30 years experience in the weighing industry where he started as an apprentice scale mechanic with Avery Scales.  After completion of his apprenticeship, he worked as a Branch Manager within New Zealand, and then did a three year term as Service Manager for the Pacific Islands based in Fiji.  After more than a decade in the service sector Dennis took on a role with Philips Industrial Weighing, handling the sales for the New Zealand region before moving to Australia where he became Product Manager for the Australia/New Zealand region.  During this time he gained valuable experience in industrial weighing and complex batching systems.  In the early 1990’s Dennis returned home and established the New Zealand office for an Australian based industrial weighing company (Rite-Weigh NZ Ltd), which he built and managed for more than ten years.  This company was purchased by Weightec in 2002 and now represents the Sartorius Group which includes Sartorius Hamburg, previously known as Philips Industrial Weighing.

Dennis is responsible for the sales side of the business and is able to offer his industry experience to assist with any application or problem you may have.

Hugo Hess  -  Director

Hugo has been involved in the weighing industry for around 20 years.  Starting out as a Toolmaker, Hugo acquired a solid engineering background before specialising in Industrial Weighing.  The years spent working in Switzerland gave Hugo extensive experience in many applications including weighbridges, batching systems and belt weighing as well as general weighing equipment.
In the early 1990’s Hugo moved to New Zealand and joined Rite-Weigh as a Senior Service Technician and rapidly took over as Service Manager.

Hugo is responsible for the Service side of the business and is experienced at problem solving, no matter what the brand of equipment.  In addition to this he is one of the few people in Australasia certified to service and repair Sartorius (Boekels) high speed check weighing and metal detection equipment  as well as intrinsically safe Sartorius systems.
